Raffle Quilt
The Huntington Quilters' only fund raising activity is the raffle quilt.
This project is generally overseen by a committee, and the blocks are pieced either by all the guild members or just the coordinators. The persons responsible for this project not only get to choose the design of the quilt, but also all of the fabrics that will go into it. They also determine how it will be quilted. This year, the quilt has been beautifully constructed by Barbara Oestel and Doreen Prentiss-Smith.
When the guild year begins in September, raffle tickets are distributed to the members for sale during the fall. One of the only conditions of membership in our guild is the requirement that each member sell four raffle books.
The raffle drawing takes place during the guild's December Holiday Party/meeting.
